I have multiple itn's running the same setup and none can be accessed by ssh, i type user name in and it kicks back a block that says you need ssh server enabled or check user name and password. SSH is enabled and i use the same user name as CLI but got no joy. I've checked everything i can think of but still no joy. can anyone give me some insight? on the SSL issue, i cant find anything that tells how to set up ssl. I can see the read only webpage but it is not ssl, any thoughts?

You will need the 3DES image file loaded on the /flash.

p80cxxxx.img

Then the following commands

#config load-encryption-module 3des
#config boot flags sshd true
#config sys set ssh enable secure
#save config
#save boot

all is done but config sys set ssh enable secure. if i do that doesnt that kill snmp?

ssh secure will disable snmp. if you want snmp you don't need to use the command.

the web management interface doesn't support ssl.

Thanks for the info, so you cant use ssh if you use snmp v3. thats goofy, but o.k. you saved me beeting my head against the wall!
