We are in the process of scheduling an upgrade of our existing Meridan 61C. This is scheduled to take place this weekend, the trick here is that not only are we upgrading the PBX, we are going to first restack the PBX, then upgrade to an 81C and then move from Release 25.30 to Succession 3.0. The issue is, the Controller of the compnay prefers to hold off on the SCCS Software upgrade and we are currently running SCCS 4.0. If we upgrade SCCS 4.0 to 5.0, then TAPI is not compatible and will require an upgrade, as well.
The issue is that we are currently, using TAPI, yet looking for an alternative Dialer solution, which may not require the use of TAPI. If so, then we don;t want to pay for an unnecessary upgrade.
We are hearing negative issues pending around the upgrade to Succession 3.0 while remaining on SCCS 4.0. We've requested facts that support the upgrade of Succession 3.0 while remianing on SCCS 4.0 and the compatibility of the two working together. Nortel has yet to get back to us providing facts.
What issues do we face with this upgrade path?
