We are tryind to use the Trunk Pickup feature (Feature 800). We have night ringing service set to auto with the start and stop times both set to 23:00 so that it will stay on all of the time. Extension 221 has all lines appear and ring. All extensions are in the ringing service ringing group 1. In Ringing service schedule "night" Service is set to Auto, Trunk Answer to Y, Extra Dial to 221, Line Settings for all lines are set to ring group 1. When a line rings at x221, anyone else is suppose to be able to answer the call by entering "feature 800". This is working well on the first four lines only. If a call comes in on any of the other 15 lines and someone enters "feature 800" they get a message in their display "pickup denied". The Trunk Answer page of the System Coordinator Guide says this is because the call is ringing on a line that is not in a ringing service. I have tried copying the line data from line 4 to line 31, but this does not improve the problem. I have also tried putting X221 in and out of group 1.

Since you have not mentionned the type of system in your question and software level.

Go to the operator's phone and do a Feature *0 on the lines keys to make sure you have programmed the right lines.

They vary from system and type of lines.

This is a Nortel modular ICS. Software is SP:30CQG05
The lines appearing and ringing on x221 are line1 thur line19.
Those same lines are set to ringing group 1 in the night schedule|LineSettings|Show Line screen. I have given line31 the name of line 5. I'm wondering if this is part of the problem.

Renaming the lines has nothing to do with your problem unless you are assuming the re-name somehow changes which lines you program.

For instance if you change the name of line 031 to Line 005, you still must program line 031. The name change is for display purposes only.

If it is a T1 or PRI or pots they will be different since one slot fits all.
