Nortel to Lucent integration 1

has anyone seen, first hand, heard of, read about..yada..yada..

Integrating a single vmail platform like this:

Norstar in field covers to Meridian 81C for vmail.
Meridian 81C vmail application is tied to Lucent/Avaya G3i.
Voicemail system sits on the G3i (intuity voicemail)

Question:
Has anyone been able to get PRI signalling to work between the Lucent G3i and the Meridian 81C? If so where?

I have not done this PRI senerio - but it should work using NI2 as your interface type on the dchannel and route.

so intead of type "pri" on the dchannel programming use "ni2"?

Didn't think you could get dchannel programming withoug setting the span up for PRI. Is this not correct?

The problem is getting the dchannel information to remain intact from the Norstar all the way to the Intuity Voicemail.

Dchannel type is still PRI - but the prompt IFC is NI2. This would have to also be setup that way on the Lucent

If you are looking to get message waiting indicators back on the M1, I believe you will need the QSIG package at both ends. NI2 does not support network message waiting indicators.

Qsig message waiting indication is not possible till jet, it is first included in Rel. 26. As far as i know, mwi is only included in SL1 and dpnss protocol

ups, i forgot, Qusig Meridian to Meridian, there is a MWI tunneling, but to other vendors, first in Rel. 26

If you are talking about using the MEET feature in the M1, then you are correct about talking to another far end Meridian, regardles of what might be inthe middle.

25.40 DOES support MWI on the ESGF and ISGF Q.Sig RCAPS.
