Nortel Telephony Manager 3.2

Hi All,

We have Nortel CS1000 installed in our organization. we are using TM 3.2 for the phones. the TM has been installed on a desktop PC. few weeks back the the TM generated an error that the security dongle is missing. we sent the Dongle to Avaya and ultimately received a replacement for the same.

Now when we connected the new dongle, the system gave the same error as before, i.e. the security dongle is missing or not detected. we checked this dongle with dongle checker and it is detecting and giving the serial number also.

Pl provide help in configuring this dongle with the TM.

TM3.0 installed on a Windows 2003 server + SP1.
The server was previously unsused but was originally intended to host Symposium and was therefore named 'Symposium'. The server was renamed to 'TM3' before installing Telephony Manager 3.0.
TM3 seemed to install OK and the Windows facilities worked as expected, but when attempting to log in to Web Station Admin the login failed with a 'dongle missing' message.

The problem was found to lie with IIS and the default iuser account, which is created based on the server name when IIS is installed. The associated security id seems to be retained even after renaming the server, or in fact after renaming the default iuser account.

Solution:
1. Uninstall TM If already installed, if not, then skip this step.
2. Rename the server
3. Uninstall IIS, via add and remove windows progs.
4. Reboot server .
5. Reinstall IIS (new default iuser account created automatically using the current server name, e.g. IUSER_'Server name' )
6. Reinstall TM + latest SU.
