Nortel T7406 Corless Phone

Help!!

I am trying to program the T7406 Cordless Telephone. Has anyone program this phone before? Help would be great. Look forward to hearing from you. I have followed all the steps in the book with no luck. Thanks in advance.

The 7406 programs just like any other phone on your system. Just find the extension and program it from any 7310/7316 or 7324.

only thing is the buttons are 1/2/3 8/9/10 ...compared to a 7310

Thanks For the help But I am still stuck. I pluged the model 7310 phone into the cordless bass and thenthe cordless base into the phone jack. But then neither phones work. Help I'm not sure what to do next. Thank You

What!?
You plug the M7310 into the jack to program the keys mentioned above and then replace it with the base station after your done.

The base unit has 3 ports on it for 3 station ports back to the system(each base unit can have up to 3 cordless phones).

Sounds like you need a Norstar trained tech to come get this going. Even my techs have trouble sometimes getting the cordless registered. Once it's done the cordless works great.

I understand the phone buttons are 1,2,3 8,9,10..
But here's my problem
I have two IC buttons 10 and 9
When I add two Answer DN's, it assigns the first one to button 8 and the second wone to button 7
Anyone knoeww a way around this?
Could I assigne 4 DN's before my second one so that the second one appears on button 3?
Then delete the other 4?
Will the second DN stay on button 3 then?
Or will it revert to button 7
