Nortel T7208 to M7100 Set Change Error

Hello,

I'm having a problem with my 6x16 system. I've decided to move a Nortel T7208 phone to another location and am replacing it with an M7100 phone. The problem is that when the phone is plugged in, all I get on the display is 3 dots "..." as though it was doing something, but nothing happens. When I try calling the set on extension 21, it says it's busy or not available. I do not know how to configure the phone as of now, I'm running DR2 software. I tried the phone on extension 22 but it has the same problem. Could it be that there was a T7208 phone on the same extension in both cases? I'm about to try an unused port (needs to be hooked up) and will report back if that fixes the problem.

Also, is it possible to erase history of the past phone ever being plugged in, or reset a port? I don't want to restart the system as my system has a dead capacitor which I need to replace.
