Nortel Succession 1

Not sure if this should be here or in the general telephony bit. Does anyone have any thoughts on Nortel Succession?
Is it easy/reliable? what are the drawbacks/quirks

Succession is the Meridian Product with a new look. You use the same circuit cards for phone sets and trunking. It just has the IP portion inherent (no need to purchase ITG's). It also has alot of new features that will be of great use. Nortel will have a full listing by 3Q for the new Succession release. I would wait for this as Nortel has not made any information GA yet. I will tell you however that the Succession product is more survivable than the existing Meridian line. It uses the same command line interface(although there are new prompts and features). Hope this helps.

We have a succession 1k and it works great. We have around 400 ip sets off the main and 6 branch office systems at remote sites.

We have 8 remote locations, each with their own PBX. We are looking at other alternatives. We do have data circuits to each location but have not looked much at VOIP because of bandwidth concerns. Any idea what it takes equipement wise and cost wise ball park to set something up like this? I am also curious about info on Succession.

I just returned from Nortel Large System Maintenance class and they discussed briefly the NTRDR68 Reach Line Card (RLC). Is this one of the things needed for the technology you are using?
