Hello to all,
I have inherited my company's meridian 1 X11 system and have been able to convince them to send me down to Richardson, TX for the Database Configuration and Management class. My qestion is if anyone has been to this before and if there is anything I should do to make it a more beneficial experience. And anything elese that I might like to know. Thank you all.

Thank you. I was thrown into the fire about a year ago and didn't even know what a punch down tool was. Have had to try and figure this system out through trial by fire so I am finally getting some formal training.

In addition, pay close attention to the details on the ACD sets. Note that best practices are to not make changes to ACD sets, but out and rebuild them. Another tip is to print out a set on paper before making changes to it, so if you do not get the desired results, you can change it back to the way it was originally.

I thought my week there was well worth it - and I had already been doing it for several months as well (Thrown in the fire like you). I wish I could have stayed and taken a few more courses but you know how it is...

I am now taking some of their online classes - the core courses for VoIP and networking fundamentals. Just started them but so far it's been very informative. Lots of great study material.
