hi
i am trying to configure the baystack 470 router to ping devices on the network and keep a record that i can get through snmp from the router....this is similar to the SAA (service assurance agent) in Cisco routers...

does anyone know how to configure the router to do this?

I also need to do a similar thing on some BPS2000 switches...

thanks!

Hi, a neat tool for this is MRTG

It runs in pearl, and monitors any snmpdevices, you can get trafficloads and everything. It graphs the statistics for you nicely.
