Nortel phone message light says on after message listened to/ Using Avaya Modular Messaging

We have an issue with only one phone where when the user listens to her message and the message light will not go out.Have added a key to the phone so user can manually turn off the light but looking for a fix so she doesn't have to manually turn light off. This is a Nortel Option 11 using an Avaya Modular Messaging voice mail system. Have tried putting phone on different TN , also deleted and rebuilt the mailbox and rebooted the Modular Messaging server. This is a 3904 phone that only has her phone number on it. Any Ideas ?
 
There very well could be another mailbox lighting her light. I know nothing about Modular Messaging though
 
msg light is turned on by either VM or another set, off by vm system only or user input . So I'd say test onsite. With no msg lamp lit leave a msg, collect and delete .......does it turn off. If not and all others do,.... set issue? If so msg lamp is proc'd by another set ie user error most likely in calling.
