Nortel Passport 8600 Third Party Memory

I just thought I would share the results of my findings. This is of course unsupported by Nortel and will most likelly void your waranty.

I find this information very usefull for test lab equipment to be able to test latest rev of software.

Kingston Memory part number KVR100X64C2/256 was successfully used in a 8690SF.

I hope this is usefull to someone.

Nortel uses third party vendors to do SF/CPU repairs. They probably won't know if you use another vendor's memory.
