Nortel Passport 6400/7400 - password recovery

Hello all...i'm looking for some technical assisstance and was hoping someone could help. I recently purchased a used nortel passport 6400 and am trying to get in via the console port to check it out, but I think it has a username and password that was set by a previous owner. I have some familiarity with other nortel products but not this one and was wondering if anyone had a backdoor/recovey procedure for getting into this thing.

Any help would be appreciated.

Try the standard username and identical password combinations of:
debug debug
admin admin
survey survey
Less common: sysadmin sysadmin
If those don't work, the story gets harder. I guess you can't just ask the person you bought it from for a userid/passwd?

I have the same problem ,we bought a second hand Passport 6480.Default passwords does not work.Is there any password recovery procedure for this product ?

I know on the 8600 series that you can reboot and stop the boot process. Once in the monitor mode type "reset-passwd"

That resets the system back to username and password of rwa rwa.
