I am working on the Nortel BSR222 trying to setup a branch office VPN. The branch tunnel will not work for some reason. The Client works OK except that you can't assign an IP in the same subnet to the remote host which I need for the IP Softphone to work.

My question is, are the Cisco small business routers better? Do you have issues with them, etc.....

I have four of these units working without issue. What's the device at the other end of the VPN connection? I'm currently using a Nortel 1700 VPN Router with Nortel 1100s, 1050s and BSR222s.

Cheers!

I think the problem is they are all 222's. The first one just died, then after trying to config the other 2 they also died and I can't reset them or anything. My opinion has greatly diminshed, but they will be sent back for new ones.

I've had good luck with Cisco in the past.
