Nortel Option 11c connected to Octel 250 1

We have inhereted a Nortel Option 11c connected to an Octel 250 voice mail system. When dial by name option is selected in the main menu and the name is spelled the call does not ever ring the extension. Instead the caller is routed directly to the mailbox of the user selected by spelling the name. The Dial by Name mailbox type is 30 - auto attendant. Any Ideas?

try posting that in octel.. i've played with those but it looks like the dial by name is express mail linked rether then call ext.. i don't remember the field in that one to be much help

Make sure that dial by name is allowed in the class of service for that users mailbox. OCTELS are a piece of cake!
