I only have to occasionally support this thing, but I have a discrete subset of users that need to have their phones forwarded to their cells for a few days. They have 2616 sets. I am not sure if just changing their class of service to NCOS 6 and then having someone call forward from the phone will work or what. I have no good documentation on this system and usually just do add, change, delete tyoe stuff or reset passwords.

CLS CFXA does not cut it on this system. It gives me an error that it is not within the parameters or something.

After you change your CLS to CFXA you need to program your Forward key to at least CFW 9 for a local phone or CFW 16 for a long distance number you want to forward to.

If you want to forward an incomming line to an external line you should have EXTT set to yes and you COULD change CFO to CFF, but you should test that.

CFO - Follow permissions of originating set
CFF - Follow permissions of forwarding set

to print LD 21 ( i think ) maybe LD 22

to chg

LD15
Req chg
type NET

missed a bit

CFF & CFO are in the RDR section under OPT

The problem is CFXA does not seem to be an option.
I will try to get a printout of the config on one of these.

Sorry for basic ignorance on my part. I really only know how to do the basics but not how to change the template of the devices, so unclear how to even get to the different options to change them.
Here is an IT user that we can mess with but they are all pretty much the same.

chg key 4 to cfw 12

then try changing cfxd again if that still wont work then go into RDR in LD 15 and chg CFF to CFO you will find it under the OPT set of prompts... you can see it if you print the RDR settings in LD 21 or LD 22 type RDR and also EXTT to YES in the CDB

ok so I dug around in here and did the following to the above user:
ld 11
chg2616
echg yep
cls fna cfxa
key 4 cfw 15

so I think that blew away the CFW 4 and then a 4-digit ext that I assume was vm but in theory cold he then go to the forward option on his phone and forward it off net?

I really appreciate the help.

Here is an actual example of the commands to accomplish the change in the system, and on your test phone example:
