Nortel One of the lines constantly busy 2

I have a nortel compact ICS phone system and when Line 2 is picked up i hear a busy signal. I already checked with the local telco and they tested the line and it checked out fine from the CO to the site. Is there anyway to resolve the problem or work around it?
 
Sounds like you potentially have a hung port. Try to reseat the card and see if that clears your problem. Also double check that you don't have line supervision on if your not using phonemail. The system will answer the calls coming if it is and may not release it.

As a work around you can go in the system and disable the port under module status.
 
After re-booting power and reseating card, the next biggest question would be what happens when you go to the demark and lift off the cross connection and see if your problem is inside or outside. next lift the amp caable off of the cics and again test and see if the line is still hung in an off hook condition. in other words find out if the problem is actually your problem before disabling port and reprogramming etc.
