Nortel on the LCD Display

Just upgraded our Meridian PBX software from release 23 to Sucession 3.0. We noticed that on the newer digital phones the word Nortel appears on the screen. Could you please show me how to change the name or how to remove it.

look up the lname option, if you have that turned on you can change the nortel brand

I think if you print the CFN in LD 22 you will see a prompt that says "NORTEL BRAND". It's probably set to YES in your switch. I think to remove this you need to go to LD 17 and do CHG type PARM and carriage return down to NORTEL_BRAND and type NO. But wait till someone smarter than me confirms this.

What load and command do I have to use to change the Nortel brand on the digital phone display ?

If I am correct then you change it in LD 17.
REQ CHG
TYPE PARM
carriage return to NORTEL_BRAND and enter NO.
Again, wait till someone else confirms this. I've never done it myself (vendor always removes it for me for new installs). You changed your original post a bit. Are you looking to simply remove the NORTEL or do you want to put your own banner on?

I could just remove the Nortel brand because it was never there prior to our Succesion 3 upgrade.

In ld 17

After the prompt idle_set_display NORTEL,
I changed ICON from yes to No but the Nortel brand is still showing. Other suggestions?

it MAY not go away until after your next midnight, due tio the fact it's loaded to you cards (controller's) you can force a midnight from load 135 midn then ****..
