I have a customer with a 8x24 Nortel who has a technician who works from home. When a technical question is asked the caller presses an extension # that all tech's have as an answer dn button on phone extensions.I understand that an OPX card will needed but how does it work and what special lines will be needed by customer to make an off premise extension ring when chosen.

the cheap way....how about you try on site an ata with the answer dn programmed to it if that works all you will need is a dry ciruit"opx" to techs house and ata will supply the dialtone.now that sound easy but ata will usually freeze up because of the opx line unless you have a great provider and new facilities"feeders" ...the expensive way.... mck makes digital extenders check it out

Why not post this on the correct site. Not Meridian One but the NORSTAR thread
