We have a Nortel Norstar system and have plugged in a Polycom Soundstation2 without display (using an ATA to convert digital line to analog). I am now trying to use the conference call facility but do not seem to be able to use the 'people' button to put the first call on hold and dial another number...

What do I need to check to enable this feature? Is there another way to do it?

Thanks!

Tara

I don't think you can do the conference feature with an analog device. When I sell the Soundstation2, I ask if they are going to start a conference on the polycom and if so, I sell them the OEM'd version of the SS.

I found a way to do it :)

1) Press [people button]

2) Dial 1st number

3) 1st person answers

4) Press [people button] *807, 1st person is put on hold and another line is opened up

5) Dial 2nd number

6) 2nd person answers

7) Press [people button] *3, to join the all three parties

I am just wondering if anyone knows what feature 807 is for the norstar?

dont know what 807 is -
*2 puts a call on hold - (not sure), make second call and then *3

ptstech ... it is possible to do a 3 party conf on any phone (the feat button is flash)

Feature 807 = Ringing (Signal) Call

We have a FAQ forum with features codes listed, this one is for 6.1 and up.

Anyway TaraBT has already answered the question at step 4)

It saves you pressing Hold then pressing 9 or a line out, not worth it on a digital set unless you have a key programmed for it but helpfull on the ATA.
