Nortel Norstar Compact ICS installer password reset

I have taken out an old Nortel system it has 16 phones and a flash voicemail. I would like to restore the system to defaults. I have googled for hours now on how to do this. I have tied the following

1. Debug which I did not understand this very well.
2. Took apart the ICS but did not see a battery and no forums are very detailed on which capacitor to short out.
3. I have tried to take out the two DS cards i don’t know if that what it means by extra modules and also taken out the 8mb flash memory and tied to find the mait. Port with no luck.

I don’t have a Irad or fastrad or any other way to connect to the phone system.

Could someone please tell me in more detail what I can do to reset the installer password?

After reading FAQ on debugging i found my ver and was able to find password!

The memory cap on the motherboard is about the size of 3 nickels in a stack. It is labeled 1F 5.5V
