I am trying to get our Plantronics CA12CD wireless system to work correctly. Our radio system is working perfectly fine thought the headsets.

To interface the headset port into the radio console I had to do the following below, which the top 4 are just the wires from the headset port directly into the radio console.

Pin 1 = Receive Tip
Pin 2 = Receive Return
Pin 3 = Transmit Tip
Pin 4 = Transmit Return
Pin 5 = Off Hook Switch
Pin 6 = OHS Logic Ground

The issues that I am having is this won't work in the headset port, it will work perfectly in the handset port but then we have to pick the handset up each time which defeats the purpose of this. I have done some testing with just a hard wired headset into the phones and that works perfectly, what am I missing that the Nortel M7324 doesn't see the headset port once I plug the radio interface in?? Is there something the telephone sees that it activates it, or what is it missing that when i plug a wired headset in, it see that but don't when coming from the radio??

Thanks for your help!!!

You may need a HL 10 handset lifter if its compatible with that model. I use the cs55 with lifter . you just press the answer button on the side of your headset and it will just lift the handset for you so you can answer the call.
