Hi,
We have been working with Embarq to do the following (they have been unsuccesful so far):
Mode 1: incoming calls all ring simultaneously at two receptionists phones.
Mode 2: incoming calls all go to the auto attendant.
Mode 3: incoming calls all ring simultaneously at two receptionist phones, and 6-8 "counter" phones.
These modes would be switched between manually by the staff, ideally through 1 button, but if necessary through 3 buttons.
Can anyone post some information that I can give to our on site guys to help them figure this out? At this point they have been messing with the above (simple?) issue for 2 days and they don't appear to be getting any closer.
I'd welcome anyone's comments about what I should read up on, or what they should do to help out here. I am a programmer myself, pretty techy, and have done my share of programming Inter-Tel systems. I am sure NorTel is way different - but I sure could use some friendly help here.
Thank you,
Kevin
