Hi all,
Can I know how long is your Nortel equipment up-time ?
When I using SNMP to collect my Passport 1200 status, the up-time has already passed 488 days.
Together with the status, a counter is called "timeticks", it showed 4,217,664,900.
With calculation, 4,217,664,900 / 60 / 60 / 24 * 0.01 roughly equal to 488 days and 3 hours 44 mins.
On the other hand, 2 ^ 32 is equal to 4,294,967,296 roughly equal to 497 days and 3 hours something.
So I think "Timeticks" is counter to keep track system up-time in 1/100 sec.
Now I afraid what will be happened with the "Timeticks" reach 2 ^ 32 limit on 8 days later in Passport.
Or the counter just goes back to zero and count again.
Any Nortel internal firmware expert here can answer my question ?
Thanks in advance.
