Hardware is Nortel 8x24 and Lucent PagePac 20. Both Nortel MOH and BGM through Lucent PagePac 20 were working with SEPARATE music sources (two small identical table radios). I set up a Linux box to stream Pandora and it works with either system, but when connected together with a Y adapter, no music. The shield / tip are punched down correctly on the 8x24. Any help appreciated.

Does your Linux box work on each input separately? If so, the split output impedance from your Linux box is too low. The Norstar impedance is 600 ohms. Use an isolating transformer before the Y adapter.
