We have some nursing homes all with Nortel MICS's PRI, T1 card, 6 port combo, 6 port expansion, XC 7.1 SW. All systems have anywhere from 8 to 12 ASM's. We been having issue with the MICS just going down, time & date but no intercom dial tone or buttons working. Frist one happen about a year ago. We replaced the system and that one started doing the same thing. After some further testing we found that if plugged it into a UPS ( not the generator backup outlet) it would stay up. We now have another one doing the same thing but this one is not on the generator backup. We replaced that one on 8/18/22 and now that one went down on 8/20/22, but is backup but no telling how long. Any recommendations or help would be greatly appreciated.

You should start by looking at the system logs, it might point you to where the problem is. is your AC clean or browning out? Have you done any additions to the system lately? If it's on a ups is the battery good on it, unplug the ups from power and see if it stays up or not.

Thanks for the reply, here are the event codes from the system we took out.
8/17 22:36 ALM 75
8/17 22:36 42-0
8/17 22:36 41-0
8/17 22:38 336-0
8/17 22:38 EVT 328-00
8/17 22:38 EVT 329-00
8/17 22:38 EVT 330-00
8/18 07:22 372-0
I was not contacted on the 17th by the on site contact he was working with the carrier trouble shooting the circuit. I'm not sure if that is what caused the codes that night. The system we replaced and the one that's in now are plugged into a regular AC outlet with other devices plugged in and nothing else is going down. The system that is in now was working at our shop for 3 months with 5 ASM's connected and never went down, but didn't have a circuit connection. Within 3 days connected at the nursing home it goes down, event log on it is codes from when we programmed the system for the nursing home.
