I have a customer that recently called us and we are now serviceing their Nortel MICS units. They have the main location that has a MICS with a NAM voicemail the remote office down the street has a MICS that is connected with a T-1. The remote office has a key programmed on each users telephone to access their voicemail at the main office if I do a feature *0 to see how the key is programmed it shows 300 (voice mail extension) then what looks like 2 watches and then ** How do I program a key to access voicemail without copying it from another telephone?

I thought the watches were pauses but what button or buttons do I use to get the watches? Example Feature *1 push the button to program then 300 then ????? then **

OK so when I get in remote and I try to program a button by doing the following F*1 push buttong I wanted to program then 300 then F78 F78 ** after I was done programming it I did a F*0 and checked the button it shows 300 ** there is a space where I put the pause but it doesn't show up the 2 watch icons any ideas??

I will have to test this when I go out to their location next Tuesday. When I accessed their system remote and looked at other telephone extension that I know are working with the button it looks the same as the button I programmed. Must show up different on-site.

Thanks,

That's strange, you must be doing something wrong. I can do it on my system. F*1 300F78F78** when I look at the button it's all there.

Wayne,

I think it will work on-site. When I access systems through a RAD it doesn't show F981 or F980 so I think its the same for F78. I should be able to see it the right way on-site. I will let you know. Thanks again for your help!
