Nortel MICS w/ PRI - I have a working external page with a background music input. I want to add page capability to another part of our building without background music. I can add an additional PA amplifier, but what is the suggested method of connection to the MICS? Or is there a better method?

A zone amplifier with configurable background music.

Another AMP may do the trick too.

Agreed with the Zone Module if you want to page only the front, or just the back or both.
It depends which model amp you have too.

There is a page port on the MICS which is most likely used for your paging amp.
If you want to add a 2nd AMP and you only page the front or the back and not both then you can connect it to a spare trunk port on the MICS.

Page the front using the page key you have already programmed (F62 for just speakers or F631 for sets and speakers)
Page the back using the line/trunk key you programmed to the set
