I put trunk 031 in a different Pool group - C. I wanted to create an access code of '7' for it. Will not let me do that in 'Line pool access codes'
What am I missing?

7 is already in use for something else.
Either find it and remove it or build dest codes and use Routes such as 91 92 93 to get out.

Definitely need a 1 digit access code for this case so 91 etc wont work. How do I find where its in use? The extensions there are 200-350. Target lines 150+ Park codes start at 101 Been maintaining this system ten years 7 is not known for anything. Just for grins I tried 4, 5, 6 wouldnt allow it

Could be B2 DNs
Direct Dial Number
Outbound Access Code

On another note but similar. I am using this trunk port and have an analog fxs port from an ip system going into it. There are ten or so extensions on the nortel that need to be dialed from this ip system. Can I set up a routing table or similar that when a nortel phone dials those extensions - say 240 to 250 - the access code for that trunk will automatically be inserted?

Yes you can set up a route routes for 240-250 provided 2, 24, 25 are not already used. Typically 2 is the first number in a DN and from one of your previous posts says they are.

This is when a dialing plan becomes very important. How are the Norstar users accessing outside lines now? Pool code 9? Remove all pool codes and use destination codes. Use Dest 91 Absorb 2 with a route of Pool A. Then put a button on the phone that speed dials 91 and label it outside line.

For your other office, create another Dest code 92 absorb 2, route Pool C, put a button "other office" that dials 92 then user enters remote extension.

Very nice. they are using dial 9 to access the PRI. All phones (100+) have a button for a 9 using feature *1 to set it. I guess the biggest bummer is programming all those buttons.
ext 240-250 are existing on the nortel now and they are moving next door to the ip system. Instead of having the user dial 7 and then their extension I wanted to have it done seamlessly for them
