I recently upgrade my nortel system to 7.0. There seems to be an issue that keeps some lines open & on hold even when no one is on the line any longer. The lines will have to be disconnected manually by the secretary.

I have heard that "full autohold" could cause this problem, but I have check each of my lines and see that full autohold is turned off.

Has anyone run into this problem before?

SET YOUR LINES FOR DISCONNECT SUPERVISION

OLD ROLMEN WORKING ON NORTELS

I just had a similar issue with a doctors office-

They're using CICS AA/CCR to answer their lines, but during lunch, they started forwarding their lines to an ans. service.
Line 1 rings once, and off prem transfers, but the KSU's CCR picks up the call- the call is considered answered by the system- disconnect supervision doesn't apply. The line hangs, and eventually rings to the receptionist.

Easy fix- either have the cust press f*831/832 to disable AA/CCR, or set the sys to answer on the 2nd or 3rd ring, rather than the first.

I see - i found it under:
lines -> (line #) -> trunk/line data -> trunk mode

Default is unspr (unsupervised, i am guessing).

I changed them to super (supervised).

Thanks for your help!
