I know that there are some similar threads on this site to this upgrade but none really specify what I want to know.

I have a MICS on 2.0. The client now (after 10 years) wants call id. Does the 3.0 software support CID? I have already inserted the CI card but 2.0 did not support it. Also if there is anything else I'm missing I would love to hear what.

Thank you

Programming needed.
Go into Capabilities/Telco features and make sure Caller ID is set to Y.
Or old programming General/Option 9
On systems prior to 6.1 only 1 set gets auto caller ID, the rest must press F811 to see caller ID
Lines must be programmed to Ring and not just Appear for the auto call ID.
Caller ID is sent between 1st and 2nd ring on POTs lines.

Thanks for the quick reply allworxguy. What version would I have to go up to to support more than one set per line?

Forgot the obvious and that is you must pay for caller id from the carrier unless included in a package.

Also you do not have to go to 3.0....all versions of MICS/0X32 support Caller ID.

Actually that's a horrible idea, if you want to upgrade in future to get new features and be up to snuff then go to 7.1.
Anything else is a complete waste of money.

So assuming that my client is paying for caller ID my MICS running 2.0 should have caller id?
