Customer has MICS 6.1, I've toggled Allow Redirect (Y) but when I F84 + <Int> 9 desti + external number I get line redirect ring but the call drops at that point so it's evidently not picking up a 2nd line. I've tried setting up other route/desti but no joy. I can line redirect dialing from an office phone to a target line number (i.e., 9 + [DID]) but not from my cell phone. T1-PRI. Also have tried F4 (call forward) but same result. Any help appreciated.

Thanks

Can you redirect to a normal POTs line?

"but not from my cell phone"
Presume you meant not to my cell phone

Thanks for the quick response...

Scenario 1:
DID: 537-1234 (target 1234, line 170), attempt to line redirect all external incoming calls hitting target line over to external 609-4567
F84,Int, 9 609-4567, All Lines
If I dial 537-1234 from my cell, for example, or any other non-network source, the call fails immediately after I hear the Redirect ring on Ext 1234

Scenario 2:
Same as above but if I call 9 537-1234 from DN 1235 (or any other DN on the network) the call redirects ok to 609-4567.

CF DN to DN works normally (e.g., CF Ext 1234 incoming external and internal calls to Ext 1250)

The MICS itself doesn't know whether you are calling from a cell phone or from a set connected to the system. It only knows that an external call is being receive. The issue you are having is likely the result of some misconfiguration or some restriction from the CO. You should check with your telco first.

If something was wrong with the Line Redirection programming, all the redirected calls would fail (and not just some of them) or they wouldn't be redirected at all (and ring normally at your set).

Have you tried External Call Forward? You can forward calls to another set on the system (what you call "CF DN to DN"), but you can also forward calls to a number outside the system. It is basically the same thing as Line Redirection, but it set-based instead of line-based.

To use External Call Forward, you need to program a route and a destination code first. There is a FAQ about that: FAQ799-2078. To turn on External Call Forward, you press Feature 4, you dial the destination code, you dial the external number and you press the OK softkey.

the target line must be set to appear and ring not just ring only. You cannot redirect lines that don't appear and ring on that set.
