Nortel MIBs for open NMS

Hi All,

Can anyone help me in getting Nortel Mibs for open nms, I tried by downloading it from Nortel site, but not able to execute it.

Is there any particular programming changes needs to be done in the MIBs or is there any other way.

They might show up as a .mib file which is just a text file that you could open in notepad (the linefeeds might be wrong but that shouldn't matter). If they show up as a .tar.gz file then you've got an archive file and will need a gzip/tar application like WinZIP or access to a unix/linux system with gzip and tar.

Unfortunately vendors don't always follow the ASN.1 standard when writing MIB files so sometimes MIB files require editing if the OpenNMS parser cares about things like underscores vs dashes. Some SNMP packages like NetSNMP have options for how forgiving they are of common syntax errors. Caveat emptor...

Is there any special method to connect remotely to the japan nortel pabx. I am trying to connect from Hyperterminal, its connecting till modem and then suddenly disconnects, as Japan uses different PRI's, can anyone let me know is there any different setup or any particular change in hyperterminal and modem bit rate settings.
