I have a Meridian1 voicemail system that is not picking up the caller id digits when people leave voicemail. If someone leaves a voicemail on any of the mailboxes on our system we do NOT get the call-back digits announced. The voicemail system only says "# voicemail(s) from an external number". What CLS, option, etc. should I look to changing in order to correct this problem?

Below is the programming on our PBX that routes calls to voicemail:

Thank you,

Olympus41.

Please help. I have management barking down my back.. Thanks in advance.

Look under VOICE SECURITY OPTIONS in the voice mail and make sure that you do not have
BLOCK DISPLAY of EXTERNAL CLID turned on.

I do NOT see that option "BLOCK DISPLAY OF EXTERNAL CLID" within Voice Security Options, and I looked through all the other menus too. I have a Meridian 1 Voicemail system.

What RLS are you running? I'm at RLS 11 and if I turn that on it stops the Caller ID from being announced.

Release 21 on my PBX. Does Meridian VM go by release # also?

These are my choices from the Main Menu:

1 User Administration

2 General Administration

3 Voice Administration

4 Hardware Administration

5 System Status and Maintenance

6 Operational Measurements

7 Network Administration

8 Class of Service Administration

that is the system main menu ..try the tools mainmenu

I'm sorry, but I have went through all the menu's and have not been able to find the TOOLS menu. Could you walk me through the menus? Thank you.

You may have an older version of Meridian Mail, which would explain why you are not getting CLID. At your login prompt, type tools. You will get a second screen, and there you type in your normal password.

Do you have to have NDD changed to ADD or TDD for the programming of the MerMail ports? Or doesn't that matter? Not sure, just a thought.

Hey Olympus...

Did this ever work?
If not, when your local provider added caller id to your
pri, did you request name, number or name & number?

Also, if CLBA (Activate Calling Party Number & Name) is in any of your classes you will have to change to CLBD.

If I can think of anything else, will update.

Good Luck
