When LD 36 is executed on the terminal with LDIC c r, it gives info on the number of days since last incoming call on specific trunk. The c r is for both DID and COTs. Is the information valid / believable? If so, is there a deterministic way to test each trunk? If the status on the trunk also shows, HOLD, RVSD, or RVSD SEIZ HOLD what does does information mean? What is a procedure to release a trunk if there a seized trunk? Does one use ENLU lscu for each suspect trunk?

It is possible that the information for LDIC c r is correct and that a trunk display of 63 days, implies one too many trunks even after I have just removed trunks after a traffic analysis.

63 days could also mean the trunk may be a RNA.

I use this to verify that my trunks are receiving calls.

Has the counts been changing??

There is a procedure for doing trunk testing but I havn't done it in about 5 years and even then I needed to use the manual to set it up.

Thank you for responding so quick. What means RNA? The counts have been changing. For example, given 20 COT trunks, the first 9 show minimum of 0 days, but trunks 11 to 20 show an incremental number. What procedure or manual do you recommend?

someone calls in to the switch and the person hears ringing, but the switch doesn't get the ring so that's called (RNA=ring no answer

Thank you Ace. No complaints are coming in due to RNA. Other than disabling the first trunks after 5PM and then calling to see if the other 11 trunks get hit, is there another way? Do you know specifically how to use LD 36 with the MTA phone?

Like I said it's been over 5 years and I'm an old guy, alot of dead brain cells. If you have alot on lines on your maint set you could just keep calling one number and answering on the maint set. I usually have 20 button on my phone and I make them MCR keys.

use a maint set in ld 36 to direct select each trunk, i assume these are analog? rsvd is reversed at the block. they don't work.. 63 days could be a open trunk or a bad port. you don't get troubles becuase the switch will not attempt to use it. in ld 80, several times a day trac or trak 0 xxxx with x=to the acod of the rdb, i used an excel to check off each trunk when i saw it busy the idle. that command shows in use trunks in the complete route, one trunk per line.. you can access each trunk from ld 36 and outpluse, but a maint set works better for that. i haven't used a maint set in about that same decade, due to working on almost nothing but digital trunks

Wow you said a mouthful. Let me digest. When you mean maint set in ld 36, you mean a physical phone setup with MTA? I have tried LD 36 with MTA setup, but I am not sure of what I see or hear. I see the terminal display the MTA status on the trunk but I don't hear anything on the MTA phone using CALL and TRK. Even when I disable and enable the suspect lines and I do the LD 36 process, the system still shows incremental values for days of last incoming. I have various sites, the ones in question are not T1 or digital lines, therefore concluding COT analog lines. If you have a more detail procedure for hearing or doing audible tests for each trunk use, could you send me via email? I will use the LD 80 command. I am reading the LD 80 documentation and I will attempt TRAC trunks.
