Hi, I have an alarm circuit configuration on the Meridian PABX . I would like to know if this alarm has been configured as loop start or ground start please. Is it possible to say that by looking at the below posted pat of configuration. This is the analogue Extns_(LD20) config file. Please let me know if you need any more info.

There are no ground start analog phones, only trunks

Do you have the analog 500 line connected to a “trunk” on another piece of equipment? In that case the “trunk” is going to be loop start.

It's programmed as a Hot Dial to 5014020 so you come off hook and no dial tone, it just rings the destination so the Alarm System would be programmed loop start

Thanks all. Much appreciated. I will get back if there's any more queries.
