Nortel Meridian 1 61 C 1

Working on a Nortel Meridian 1 61 C, it has been about five years since I have troubleshooted one, how to set up a fax line, has PRI card, have nxx-nxx-xxxx numbers form PRI Card, can some help me remember how to set up a fax line, what LD's and steps, Thank You for your help, it is greatly appreciated.

If your using DID numbers you should be able to just built a 500 set with LD 10 with a dn of the sent digits. leave FTR blank as you will not need features on a fax station.

Find an existing one and copy it

As stated above, find a working fax machine extension. We will say 1234 is a working one. Then you will need to identify an unused DN and assign it to an unused TN.

First, find the TN of the working number you will copy.

Second find an unused DN in that same group

DN 12 <-- You Type This - You can put the first couple of digits in the extension range. Depends on the DID range at the site.

CUSTOMER 00 - UNUSED DNS:
1235 1236 1237

We will use 1235.

Third find an unused Analog TN

We will use 3-9 (This is an Option 11C so you only use Card/Unit, if a Single Group, 61c, or Multi Group, 81C, you will use the whole TN)

Now we copy the existing 1234 to TN 3-9 and give 3-9 a DN of 1235

Now go cross-connect your TN to the jack and you should have a working phone. As long as you copied a working fax this will get you there.

Thanks for information, got the fax line up and running, Thanks again! now if I just could call forward a 4 number phone to a 5 number phone, what LD and cls and etc...
