Hi All,
I am trying to install Nortel Media Applcation Server 5.1 and Nortel Multimedia conferencing version 5.0.4 on Nortel supplied IBM x3550 server.
I am receiving the following error when i start the NMC console;
"Warning: Failed to retrieve NMC software Version
Check if the Media Application Server is up and running."
"Error: Failed to check local CStore function.
Check if the Media Application Server is up and running."
when i check the MAS console i see that the MAS is up and there are no alarms. the software version of NMC is also proper.
I have taken the log of NMC also and is given below;
===========================================================
Snap-in initialization - start ...
Getting NMC software version ...
Initialization of CSOAPCStoreAccess object is completed.
CSOAPCStoreAccess::GetNMCSoftwareVersion
CSOAPCStoreAccess::GetNMCSoftwareVersion - retrieving NMC software version ...
GetNMCSoftwareVersion: soap_call_ns2__ListApplications failed to retrieve NMC application info.
Failed to retrieve NMC software version.
Check if the Media Application Server is up and running.
Retrieving local CStore function ...
Initialization of CSOAPCStoreAccess object is completed.
CSOAPCStoreAccess::GetCStoreFunction
GetCStoreFunction: soap_call_ns2__GetConfiguration failed to retrieve CStore function.
Failed to check local CStore function.
Check if the Media Application Server is up and running.
Snap-in initialization - completed.
Snap-in console is closed.
===========================================================
Can anyone help on this?
Additionally I wanted to know whether i can reinstall Windows 2003 server from any OS CD or do i need the CD provided by Nortel only. the problem is that the CD that came alongwith the software is only containing the Hotfixes and not the OS image, however it is written outside that the CD is for windows 2003 server standard edition plus Hotfixes. If somebody has an CD that comes with MAS 5.1 and IBM x3550, then please upload an image of the same on some shared site. the help would be highly appreciated.
regards..
Goutam
