I am not in the telephony comunication idustry, but I need help with an older system. The equipment we have is : Norstar Plus Compact ICS, Norstar Flash, OneAC power conditioner, and 3 -7310 handsets. This equipment was used with a previous business we owned. I would like to use it with our current business but all I can get from nortel support or any company providing business communication products is that we need to throw all this away and purchase new equipment that ranges between 3-8K. What we would like to do with this existing equipment is : Answer calls, Voicemail, on-hold audio and possible pre-recorded advertising while on hold, and maybe an auto attendant. Could someone please advise me about our equipment status , Do we need to purchase new or will our current equipment work. Please help.
