Hello,
Has anyone experienced problems logging an i2004 ip telephone through an E3000 router?

My phone logs to the BCM but I do not have dial tone or sound through the speaker or the handset. The phone rings, the display works but cannot communicate.

I am pretty sure that the router blocks certain ports?

Thanks

p.s. the same phone will work perfectly on an E1100 router!

Signaling between the IP telephones and the Business Communications Manager uses Business Communications Manager port 7000. However, voice packets are exchanged using the default RTP ports 28000 through 28255 (UDP) at the Business Communications Manager, and ports 51000 through 51200 (UDP) at the IP telephones. If these ports are blocked by the firewall or NAT, you will experience one-way or no-way speech paths.

HTH!
