I have a Nortel C1000 and a Siemens Hipath 4000.

PRI built to transport between the 2 systems, and the Siemens is working internally (Siemens-Siemens).

The inbound routing is working fine, and calls destined for the Siemens through the Nortel are ariving.

However, trying to call a set on the Nortel from the Siemens ends with the Nortel dumping it and sending "Switching equipment congestion" back to the Siemens.

However, the Nortel isn't congested- nobody is on the phone anywhere!

Any ideas?

How many digits are you sending and how many digits is the Nortel expecting?
I had one setup many years ago and MIGHT be able to find the config

What is the 'SEGMENT' set to on the TDCSU?

We found this one: an option of TDAR?

However, i now have another issue. Some sets on the nortel will dial the pri lines. Some sets wont. Is it possible there is a restriction on one shelf?

Sorry I was talking about the HiPath 4000 end

Try changing the SEGMENT to 8 and re-test

That's all fixed.

Thanks much for your help!!

Of course, now problem 8 and 9 have arisen.

Phones dialing us from the nortel are not giving caller ID; and one entire inbound trunk group can't call into the hipath.
