I am using Nortel Extranet Access Client v03_70.30 to connect to my work server, and am getting a "Create socket failed with 10048" error. It USED to work, however it has stopped for some reason. I'm not sure if it's because of anything I've recently installed or what, but I really need it to work!! Can anyone help me?? I am able to ping all IP addys associated with my work server. I just can't eRas in.

HELP!!!

shasgurl:

You may have this problem since you have installed some kind of vxd files. Most likely it will be the virtual driver (e.g. card reader, etc..)

I resolved this issue by doing so in Windows ME:

1. Run msconfig
2. Select "Static VxDs" tag
3. Deselect the .vxd file and reboot, observe whether the problem is gone. In my case, I deselect the vxd called cvpndrv.vxd.

Hope it helps.
