How many long and short haul expansion cabinets can I have on an Option 11c? Current setup is a NTDK84 dual (my two short haul cabinets) and a NTDK24 single (my one long haul cabinet). Am I correct to say that I need to replace the NTDK24 with either a NTDK25 or NTDK80 to support a second long haul cabinet?

I believe you need an NTDK85AA dual fiber long haul card for the long haul expansion cabinets. If you are on rls 25.40b or later you should be able to get 4 expansion cabinets on that PBX. You will also need the long haul fiber receiver card, which is a NTDK25AA if ai am not mistaken. The long haul cards use multi mode fiber and ST connectors.

Thanks for the information. Thought about what I asked on the way home from work. Knew the 25 & 80 were the fiber receiver and not the daughterboard. That's what being braindead and a Rockwell background will get you.

One point of clarification, If you have the single mode fiber expansion already, you may not add the second expansion. That is the only configuration that doesn't allow the second expansion shelf. Multi-mode and 3M fiber can have the second expansion with the proper daughter board.

Hope that helps,

Jim
