I just started receiving these alarms that are constantly scrolling. ERR5425 516 11 00001F84 997994475

Definition
Buffer to the PRI (QPC720) hardware has overflowed.

Action: Severity: Minor. Critical to Monitor: No.

SNMP trap: Yes

PLEASE HELP !!!

I would first try disabling and enabling all the T1/PRIs, one at a time of course. If you know for certain which one it is, that would save some down time.

Try listing the err counters. In LD 60, LCNT. this will list all the error counters for the loop. if one of them is high (and normally, they should be at ZERO), check all your connections, the CSU, and NIU. Then call and report a trouble ticket to your vendor or carrier.

They're all at 0...Sucks for me !!

My vendor looked into it and said they cannot figure it out...They believe we should INI the pbx !!!

I agree with GHTROUT, disable the t1, reset the card and see if thre error continues. Is it a QPC720? I haven't seen one of those in a few years. It is powered by the net shelf but its address is from I believe the NET card. Look at that card too

I dont have any QPC720 cards, I have PRI cards.

I want to disable and reset the cards but have to wait until after business hours unless anyone can tell me if i disable the d-channel and DISI the loop whether disabling the d-channel will automatically drop the calls anyway?

Thanks for your help on this !

QPC720 is a PRI card. Disabling the D and dropping the loop will drop the calls on that loop.

The original post mentions a QPC720 card. Old style T1 card for a 61/81 core/net or network shelf.
