First i have read the faq0-4680. Which was a help to me.
Know I have a question about the article concering IP50, IP51 UDP500. The article states that they have to be setup bidirectionial on the firewall.

My question is, does all 3 have to be open to in and out put on the fire wall or can just one or two be that way. I am think of security concerns that can be cause by opening the network up like this.

Thanks for your help.

I am getting to this post a bit late, but if there is life after 802.11b then here is what I found happening with the port 50-51 scenario. It is either one or the other with those two ports, and very dependant on the VPN server's port acceptance. On the higher end, I also open up 450 UDP, 500 UDP, and 4500 UDP...tyr it.
