Nortel / Cisco question...

Ok, years ago, I was taught that the only stupid questions are the ones not asked.

With that in mind and also with the understanding that this could still be considered a "stupid" question, can I use any CISCO VoIP phone on a Nortel CS1000MG running Succession 4.5..??

I really want to use the Nortel 11xx Series phones but interal politics prevent me from suggesting them at this time.

..and you are unlikely to get Nortel to "support" a Cisco SIP phone running on a CS 1000.
