Hi guys. I am administering a Nortel CICS, 4 incoming lines 12 station sets.
I have a caller ID blade in the CICS. Does anyone know how to get the incoming calls to display automatically as caller ID on all of the station sets?
All sets have caller ID enabled, set for number.
All sets are set to answer pool A (all four lines are on pool A)
Currently when a station user picks up their line it will display the caller ID of the connected call, but there is no way to screen calls by caller id on an incoming call.
Our setup is very simple, no auto attendant, no hunt groups, just a plain Jane incoming manual answer system.

Any help anyone can give me I would greatly appreciate.

Just for info, I did install and configure the entire system and have all passwords to the CICS and the Call Pilot 100 so no passwords are necessary.

Thanks for the answer Brian, worked perfectly.

Next thing...quick comment for anyone else searching through this for an answer to the same question, make sure you let everyone in your office know that the phone has to ring twice in order for the caller ID to display.

Brian if you are following this is there a way to have the CICS absorb that first ring, without ringing audibly?

There are systems out there that will automatically absorb the first ring, but Nortel doesn't. I assume it's because of company policies- "Answer the call within 4 rings!!!" If the first ring isn't heard, then the boss's test call will be picked up on the fifth.

Or, maybe Nortel just never thought it would be an issue.

Darn Canadians! Thanks everyone, very much appreciated.

It won't make any difference anyway, because the Ringback Tone is not in sync with the ringing current application on the line. Sometimes it is ahead and sometimes it is behind.
