I HAVE NIGHT RINGING SET UP ON AN EXTENSION, WHEN I CALL THE EXTENSION RINGS
AND AFTER 4 RINGS GOES TO THE GENERAL MAILBOX WHICH I ASSUME IS THAT EXTENSION
BECAUSE WHEN I TRY TO PULL THE EXTENSION UP IN VOICEMAIL PROGRAMING IT SAYS IT DOES
NOT EXIST.
I NEED TO PUT A GREETING ON IT BUT CAN'T ACCESS THE GENERAL MB??

THIS IS YELLING! (not just rude but hard on the eyes)
This is not yelling!

So please do not use your CAP key unless the first letter requires it please and thank you.
Kapeesh???

General Delivery mailbox number is 10, 100 or 1000 depending how many digit DN's your system is.
When creating a mailbox you have the option to tell it what ext it is to be associated with....in most cases it is associated with reception set DN 21, 221 or 2221.

Cheers
cc

ok what I did was assign the
general mb 10 to ext 23. When you
call in it answers on the 6th ring
(with the ring delay set on 4 on ext 23)
also the recording says at first MB not
initialized although I was able to record
a message on it??????

any help would be appreciated!

What is ste setup?
Do you have Auto Attendant answering calls then people dial 23?
If so it should work.

If you do not have Auto Attendant and the calls ring several sets and you just want calls to go to mailbox 23(MB 10) then you must make sure all sets have their FNA time set to 6 or more rings so there is no conflict.

This is when a incoming call is
coming in from people are calling line 1.
