Most of the new phone systems, and callpilots come with nice detailed PDF Menus on CD in the package. As far as online manuals I use the following link that i found posted on Tek-Tips a while ago..
That's why nortel is hurting. Because of sites like wedophones posting manuals.
Otherwise they would still be the best in the telephony world.
The mentality of let's password protect everything and make it as proprietary and hard to get as possible is what has hurt the traditional telephony world the most.
whykap, I didn't understand your post. Are you for or against sites like wedophones posting manuals online. Are you saying wedophones and sites like them putting Nortel out of business?
I was joking about the website putting nortel out of business.
All I was trying to say here is it should not be as difficult to find a product guide in order to support it.
I know there are a lot of sites to find Nortel documentation. However try Nortel's site and without a login you get nothing but sales/marketing garbage.
This goes for any PBX or hybrid manufacturer out there.
You didn't offend me, I just wasn't sure which way you where going. I worked for Nortel from 1979 to 1984 and it was a great company back then. Stock was about $80 and it split twice while I was there. We did our own installations and training and they stood behind there product. I keep thinking about buying some Nortel stock but it doesn't do anything.
It all in the way you llok at it. I prefer the positive.
We work together, we share together and we win together.
Now back to the the Notel issue. I simply signed up as a consultant have access to all the info...except Norstar. That is my challange also as an independant.
