Hi,
I am in the process of configuring some new Nortel BES1010 switches. I use both BEM and IE to manage the switch. I want to uplink the switches with fiber to another switch at another location but I am unsucessful in doing that. I use SX GBICs on the switches. I thought that maybe those ports are disabled. After logging on into the switch I see no way were or how I can configure these fiber ports. Does anyone know if these ports are enabled/disabled by default and how to configure them? I also do not see these ports on the statistics screens. I only see port 1 to 48 for example on a BES 1010 48T switch.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

the SFP ports are shared ports. You can configure them at ports 1/47 and 1/48.
